Cikoko Nutrition Care Group Formed to Optimize Stunting Management

The Nutrition Care Group (KPG) in Cikoko Urban Village, Pancoran Sub-district, South Jakarta was officially formed to maximize efforts to anticipate and overcome stunting.

Cikoko Urban Village Head, Fadhilah Nursehati said currently KPG will forget the focus of intervention with a special location (Locus) in RW 01.
"The location in RW 01 was chosen according to the number of undernourished toddlers, underweight toddlers and toddlers suspected of stunting with a total of 15 toddlers," he expressed, Thursday (10/3).
Seribu Island Regency Accelerates Stunting Handling and PreventionHe explained it was done in synergy with PT Zurich and PT KAO, TP PKK Cikoko Urban Village, National University students, environmental administrators and cadres, and local health officials.
"Since September 5 to October 2, we have been providing nutritious food and drinks regularly every working day," he explained.
In the KPG activities which lasted five weeks, a joint commitment was also signed and a sharing session was held and a group meal was held every Wednesday morning on the terrace of the Raudhatus Sholihin Mosque.
"We also need to educate parents about good parenting patterns so that their children grow and develop well," he added.
He urged parents to give their children the opportunity to interact and get to know nutritious foods. So, children will also like and get used to consuming nutritious food menus.
"We always monitor the development of 15 toddlers who underwent intervention to prevent and suppress stunting. Alhamdulillah (thank God), 80 percent of toddlers participating in KPG achieved the target increase determined by the health center," he said.
